After much deliberation on the theme for the 2008 Mary Luckham Trophy I have finally decided on a subject.
In common with the subject last year (Still life), I wanted to set a subject topic that was easily
accessible to all.
As the Mary Luckham is labeled a summer competition, I have decided that the set subject will
be “ Summertime
2008”. You will all I am sure be taking new images this summer, and I am equally sure that you
will look back on some and think that they epitomise your summer. The scope is as wide as you want
it to be, but when I am judging next Autumn, I will be looking for a winning image that encapsulates “Summertime
2008” in a visual form.
The following may stimulate your photo ideas, but they are just theme suggestions, the subject is as
wide as you would like to interpret it.
All entries will be judged on 6th Oct 2008 and I will also award a small prize to the trophy
winner. Entries
should be in mounted print format, any size print or mount. They MUST have been taken in the
period between tonight and the judging (no recycled holiday photos please), and you can enter
up to three prints.
