Peter reported that the current balance of accounts was as follows:
HSBC BMM account (savers) £831.76
Community account (current a/c) £1845.11
Cash £60.00
The current situation leaves the club with a surplus of £702.02 to pay for the Rent for the hall and the Judges and Lecturers. Peter said that this was better than last year at this time.
Richard said all the correspondence he received, had been processed by either being forwarded to the Chairman Peter Woodhouse, Tony Oliver, Peter Read, put on the Club Notice Board or posted on the Salisbury Camera Club web site News section by Peter Read. Richard said he has a number of adverts for Photographic training or courses: it was suggested that these should be printed out and pinned on the notice board, in case any members are interested.
6. SCC Christmas Dinner
Peter Woodhouse confirmed that he had provisionally booked places for interested members into The Avon Brewery at 7.30 pm. on the 19th December. Peter agreed to put a menu and booking list in the notice board, together with a request for a £5 deposit per person and mention it to members on the club meeting on Monday 14th November.
7. SCC Exhibition in the Guildhall
Tony Oliver said the exhibition in the Guildhall will be from 23rd to the 27th of January. The prints will be put up on Sunday 22nd and removed on Saturday 28th. . Prints can be any size up to 500mm x 400mm but must be framed.
A number of locations were suggested: the Gower Peninsula, Exmoor or the Isle of Wight. Peter Woodhouse said he would sound members out on the 14th November and then try and supply more details on the 28th. It is hoped that Dawn Waters may be able to assist with the organising the trip
Richard Temlett said it was the SPF policy was that any club inviting a judge to judge a competition should brief the judge on what the club required of them. It was agreed that for the rest of this club year the judge would be asked to keep the number of images scoring ten, to a reasonable number. For next year the system of scoring would be discussed before prior to the AGM.
10. 14th and 28th November Club Evenings
Tony has the latest RPS CD of the Digital Projected Images; these would be shown on the 14th; Steve Pereira would be asked if he would a practical demo using his wireless trigger. On the 28th it was suggested that members could see Eddy Butt's 3D images as Peter Read has his CD and has an adequate number glasses for all members to see them. It was also suggested that possibly Stan and Tony could run a print discussion similar to the way a Judge may but with the author having an input to the discussion. Because there still a lot of members incorrectly sizing their digital images Richard Temlett would show members how to get the images the right size again..
None
It was agreed that a committee meeting in early January would be required to confirm Guildhall exhibition details possibly 11th, 12th or 18th January.
